Reminders of Him by Colleen Hoover is a book about a woman who faced many difficulties in life but never stopped trying. Her story is inspiring and heart heart-touching. We have provided a summary of this book for you.

The Plot And The Crux

In this story, Colleen Hoover portrays a very strong woman character named Kenna Rowan. She is 26 years old and recently got out of prison. She was sentenced to five years imprisonment for involuntary manslaughter.

Kenna was accused of the death of her boyfriend, Scotty Landry. She learned she was pregnant with Scotty’s child between her trial and sentence. Kenna was devastated and grieving; she pleaded guilty.

After getting released from prison, Kenna went to where her daughter lived in the hopes of meeting her. As Kenna has no visitation rights to her daughter, she was worried if she would be allowed to see her.

Later that day, Kenna went to the bookstore where she and Scotty used to visit and was disappointed to see it turning into a bar. There she met an attractive bartender named Ledger. Soon enough, she realized that Ledger was Scotty’s best friend and a pivotal connection to her daughter, Diem.

Diem was raised by Scotty Landry’s parents, Grace and Patrick. Because Kenna was being sentenced, Scotty’s parents got the child’s custody. She tried to meet her daughter, but Scotty’s parents had a restraining order against her. They were angry at Kenna and didn’t want her in their life or near Diem.

When Ledger first saw Kenna, he was attracted to her. But when he realized who she was, he got angry at her. But eventually, he understood her pain and wanted to help her. His feelings for Kenna started to grow.

Kenna used to write letters to Scotty as a memory to express her feelings and life incidents. She wrote around three hundred letters to him. When Ledger learned about the letters, he asked her to read the letter about the night of the accident because he wanted to know the truth. After knowing the whole story, he felt terrible for her.

The End

When Kenna realized that Scotty’s parents did not want her to see Diem, she decided to leave. Ledger secretly took the letters about that night to show Scotty’s parents because he knew whatever happened that day was a big mistake.

After reading those letters, Scotty’s parents forgave Kenna, and she got to meet her daughter. In the epilogue, after a few years, Kenna writes another letter to Scotty stating that she and Ledger had a baby named Scotty.

The rest of the story explains the accident night in detail, the relationship between Ledger and Kenna, and how he helped her to be with Diem.
